STEM sites worth investigating

Here are a few tried-and-tested sites and resources (by Raija and her kids) to encourage young people into astronomy:

'it's been a great way to ensure I'm gifitng some actually brain-worthy toys to my kids!  Despite it's name, it is american, so the shipping time can be longer, but overall, the yearly subscriptions worked out the best for us.  Sturdy materials and great concepts covered in these kits.'

I got on to this via lots of internet searching during Covid/2020. and found they had a Kickstarter project .  They are located in Croatia, so shipping timelines can blowout at times.  My son has had.a great time learning new skills (including soldering) and has some pretty impressive toys and gadgets to show for it, it genuinely keeps him challenged.

Really solid, and engaging, game-format introduction for young kids into coding.  Runs on I-Pad. Might be even better now (our kids finished playng through the levels on this in 2023).

PS:  Raija gets no automatic kick-back on these recommendations, but if you want to mention her name...!
